Not a Lot Of Upside In Stocks

I don`t think there`s a lot more upside in the stock market. I am not looking for a collapse but what I am looking for is a dollar collapse. Even if the market continues to move higher, it is nominal highs only, it is not real highs adjusted for the loss of purchasing power.

Gold: Sentiment Still Favors Higher Prices

I still think the sentiment is quite negative on gold. Maybe not as negative as it was but very few people believe in this rally. I hear a lot more people saying that you should short it, if you have profits  you should take them. So I think the sentiment still favors higher gold prices. But the fundamentals have favored higher gold prices all along.

A Declining Living Standard In America

In order to have the same after tax income as the average guy did in 1947 you would have to earn at least 140,000 dollars a year today. Instead the average non farm worker is getting 43,000 USD a year. So 43,000 dollars a year in 2013 versus 140,000 dollars a year in 1947.
