I think the economy is a disaster. And that is why I do not think the Federal Reserve is going to exit. Unfortunately they got QE$ queued up and ready to launch.

They are going to do more quantitative easing, not because it has worked but because it has been an abysmal failure. But they can`t admit it has been a failure, they are going to do it all over again.

The Only Way The Fed Will End QE

They have to keep pretending they can end it at a later date, because they can never end it on any date. They cannot end it without creating a recession, they cannot end it without producing another financial crisis, which means they are not going to end it.

I mean, not on their own terms. That does not mean it is never going to end. It will end, when a currency crisis and a sovereign debt crisis forces it to end. But before that happens, the Federal Reserve is going to come up with one excuse after another which is what I said since they launched QE1!

Markets Are Slowly Coming To Grips With The Reality

I think the markets are slowly coming to grips with the reality that the exit from QE is not going to be as easy as everybody thought. You know, I heard Dallas Fed Chairman, Richard Fischer on CNBC earlier, calling for QE to end on schedule. But what Fischer does not understand is that you cannot end QE without plunging the U.S. Economy into a severe recession.

More QE To Get The Stock Market Up Again

In fact, just as I said, a lot of the enthusiasm or the talk about the Federal Reserve maybe not ending QE or not raising rates, a lot of it has to do with the weakness in the market.

People are saying, well, won`t this weakness in the stock market put the Federal Reserve on hold? That is exactly what I was saying before the market weakened. I said initially, if the Federal Reserve tapers the stimulus, the markets will go down. And the markets going down will mean that the Federal Reserve has to come back and stimulate to get the market back up. Because the goal of QE was to inflate the stock market and the real estate market.

Stock Market: The Worst Week In Years

It was the worst week in the stock market in years. The Dow Transportation Index, it had the biggest decline in over 3 years, down 6.9 percent. And that`s despite Crude Oil down 4.6%. That`s the worst week in about p months and over the last 2 weeks crude oil is down 8.5 percent.

The nasdaq was down 4.4% on the week. The worst week in 30 months. And the Russell 2000 which is an even broader measure, which has been weaker, was down 4.6% on the week.

The Dow Jones is now flat on the year, maybe slightly negative, but the Nasdaq is down, the Russell 2000 is down. In fact the Russell 200o index has the worst chart of them all.

It`s interesting that the most economically sensitive measures, which are the transports and the Russell are the weakest.

The downturn has resumed with a vengeance. (...) I don`t see any significant support in this market and I still think we are headed quite a bit lower between now and the end of the year. Gold & Silver: Opportunity To Buy

These are opportunities. And again, I don`t know when the irrationality is going to stop. I just know that the markets aren`t rational right now and it can stay that way for a while longer. But as long as we are not using leverage, as long as we are buying things we can afford and not overextending ourselves, it does not matter if the market goes against if in the long run we get the direction right.

And eventually, the short term losses, if the markets move against us, end up being long term gains, which I rather have. I rather have a short term loss and a long term gain than a short term gain but a long term loss.

Markets Are Forming A Top

I still believe that the stock market is in the process of making a top and will in fact roll over if the Federal Reserve does not come out and take the interest rate hikes off the table and unveils a new round of QE, or reverse the taper. If Yellen does that before the market breaks down than she will avert the bear market. But if she waits until after it breaks down, obviously she will be reacting to it.

But either way, the markets are in the process of forming a top, at least a short term top until the federal Reserve gives in and gives the addicts what they need, wether they need it or not.

The Fed Will Lose Control

The real crisis is when people realize that the Fed has lost control, that inflation id going to run out of control and that QE will never end, because it cannot end. Because we have so much debt, that it can`t end. We can`t allow interest rates to go back into normal because at this point its impossible, because there`s too much debt.

And all the economy is one big bubble, one big illusion and all the Fed has to do is to keep the illusion alive for as long as possible but once the bondholders, the dollar buyers wake up and realize its an illusion the dream will turn into a nightmare.

If this recent volatility in the market is the sign of a top and certainly the broader averages are already breaking down and topping out and you have key sectors like the homebuilders and you have certain stocks that are related to the consumer... It`s done. You can a fork in this housing recovery. And the homebuilders stocks are showing you. Again, one or two year lows! The Dow Jones Industrials is over 17,000 points, everybody talking about a recovery and the homebuilders are in a bear market. They don`t even see the recovery. How can you have a recovery without the housing sector?

Many Homebuilders Are Making 52 Week Lows

Beneath the averages there are a lot of stocks that have been clobbered over the last 11 months. Some of the hardest hit apart from gold stocks, the homebuilders. And I have been pretty negative on this sector for a while and we have a lot of homebuilders making 52 week lows this week. Some of these stocks are at 2 year lows, not just 1 year lows!

If Janet Yellen is true to her word, by the beginning of next year there will be no QE and the Federal Reserve will be closer to pulling the trigger on raising rates. So, I think without all this extra help even if rates are still at zero, people will be preparing for interest rates not to be zero and the Federal Reserve will not be doing all this QE, I don`t think this bubble economy will be nowhere as bubbly.

I believe the real estate market will continue to soften and potentially by then it will be in outright decline in home prices, the stock market could be quite a bit lower if we stay the course between now and the beginning of 2015.

The United States Is A Dependent Nation

We are the most dependent nation on the world. We depend on others countries like no other country. Think about it. We have the world`s biggest trade deficit, which means that we depend on other countries to produce the products that we need. We can`t produce them ourselves, how is that self-sufficient?

We also have to borrow the money. Because we don`t produce enough to export to pay for our imports, we have to borrow money. We count on the world to finance all the goods that we can`t afford. So not only we import the most but we have to borrow all this money to pay for our imports. If we have to borrow all this money from foreign countries, how are we self-sufficient?

We have the biggest trade deficit in the world, the biggest current account deficit in the world and we are the world`s biggest debtor nation. We owe more money to other countries than all the countries in the world combined!

The more you stimulate an economy with QE the more addicted it becomes to it. If you take it away, you get withdrawal and then the Fed comes right back with more.

I don`t think the economy can sustain itself without QE. Think about how weak the GDP growth has actually been. We have been decelerating because 2013 was below 2012, and 2014 is probably going to be below 2013.
