Markets: Yellen On Future Asset Purchases

When she talked about future asset purchases programs like another round of quantitative easing, although she did not use the word QE, she talked just about asset purchases, she did suggest that they should expand that beyond U.S. Treasuries and mortgage backed securities that they used the last time and that should have been a very, very negative sign for the U.S. Dollar and positive for gold that he Federal Reserve is now thinking of broadening what it purchases to maybe corporate bonds or muni bonds or maybe they want to buy stocks.

The Fed Is Not Really Considering A Rate Hike

I do not think the Federal Reserve is seriously considering an interest rate hike. They do not want to admit that they are not because they want to keep up the pretense that the economy is strong enough for a hike without actually delivering one.
