Markets: Yellen On Future Asset Purchases

When she talked about future asset purchases programs like another round of quantitative easing, although she did not use the word QE, she talked just about asset purchases, she did suggest that they should expand that beyond U.S. Treasuries and mortgage backed securities that they used the last time and that should have been a very, very negative sign for the U.S. Dollar and positive for gold that he Federal Reserve is now thinking of broadening what it purchases to maybe corporate bonds or muni bonds or maybe they want to buy stocks.

The Fed Is Not Really Considering A Rate Hike

I do not think the Federal Reserve is seriously considering an interest rate hike. They do not want to admit that they are not because they want to keep up the pretense that the economy is strong enough for a hike without actually delivering one. Markets: Gold Is Going Up, The U.S. Dollar Is Going Down

Even if the Federal Reserve raised interest rates all the way up to 1 percent, that is still not enough to hurt gold and still not enough to help the U.S. Dollar.

So, when are people going to figure out that it does not even matter what the Federal Reserve does because either way the U.S. Dollar is going down and gold is going to go up regardless of the fact that we may have another interest rate hike or even two hikes. Markets: Get Out Of The U.S. Dollar As Quickly As You Can

My advice is, pay attention to what the Federal Reserve has just said, pay attention to what they are about to do and do something about it. That means getting out of the U.S. Dollar and get into gold and silver as quickly as you can.

The Federal Reserve Wants More Inflation

The Federal Reserve wants more inflation. And what the Federal Reserve is saying is because they do not have room to lower interest rates very much because they are already practically at zero, the way to lower interest rates is to have more inflation so that we have lower real interest rates.
